For the month of February, Oklahomans who are thinking about quitting tobacco have an added reason to take the first step. The Oklahoma Tobacco Helpline, a program of the Tobacco Settlement Endowment Trust (TSET), is doubling its standard offer by providing eight weeks of FREE nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) to residents who enroll between Feb. 1 and 28. Participants can choose patches, gum or lozenges to support their quit attempt and reduce withdrawal symptoms while building healthier habits.
“Choosing to quit is one of the most important health decisions a person can make, and support can make all the difference,” said Julie Bisbee, executive director of TSET. “By offering eight weeks of FREE NRT, we are removing a common barrier and helping more Oklahomans access proven tools that support long-term success. Preventing and reducing tobacco use is central to TSET’s mission to improve the health and quality of life of all Oklahomans.”
For more than 20 years, the Oklahoma Tobacco Helpline has provided free patches, gum or lozenges to help Oklahomans quit tobacco. Funded by TSET since 2003, the Helpline has supported more than half a million registrants on their journey toward better health. This limited-time offer builds on that legacy by expanding access to proven support for anyone ready to take the first step.
