Baba Ramdev Shares Lifestyle Tips on Detox, Fasting and Healthy Fats 


People often compromise on their health, leading to several health problems like obesity, diabetes, and high cholesterol. To curb this, Swami Ramdev recently shared some lifestyle changes that we can adopt to cleanse our bodies from within. 

He said that starting the day with drinking hot water mixed with lemon and rock salt will help aid in digestion and support the body’s overall detoxification by flushing out toxins.  

Reverberating the importance of discipline in life, he encouraged those who are physically capable of fasting at least once a month or once every 15 days. Baba Ramdev believes that fasting helps the digestive system to rest and contributes to overall physical and mental balance.  

He emphasized the caution against the use of refined oils, stating that they are harmful to your body in the long term. Excessive consumption of saturated fats can lead to increased cholesterol levels, raising the risk of heart-related problems. He advised us to use pure ghee, coconut oil, or sesame oil for cooking and regular consumption.  

Emphasizing a holistic approach, Ramdev said a combination of natural food habits, periodic fasting, yoga, and pranayama can help people maintain a disease-free and energetic lifestyle.
