New coffee drive-thru opens in Shamokin Dam | Local Business News

Shamokin Dam, Pa. — A new specialty coffee drive-thru is opening on Monday in Shamokin Dam.

Coffee franchise 7Brew, located at 2755 North Susquehanna Trail, has already started serving up custom hand-crafted coffees and drinks during the soft opening hours this past week. The weekend of Dec. 13 and 14 is friends and family weekend with free small drinks. The drive-thru lanes open 9 a.m. to noon and 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday. On Sunday, the drive-thru will be open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The official opening day of 7Brew will be on Monday, Dec. 15 with regular hours set for 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and open until 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

The drive-thru business has 578 locations in the United States, according to its website. Another location previously opened in State College on South Atherton Street.

The 7Brew franchise started in 2017 in Rogers, Arkansas after the founders decided to “change drive-thru coffee into a fun, mind-blowing experience for everyone,” according to the website. The company aims to make 7Brew more than just a coffee stand, with a “concept of cultivating kindness and joy with every drink — through our service, speed, quality, energy and atmosphere.”

The original menu started with seven drinks, including favorites such as German chocolate and cinnamon roll. Today, the menu is expanded to also include classic coffee brews such as lattes, teas, lemonades, fizz drinks, energy drinks, smoothies, shakes, and cold brews.

The business is one of the first new ones in a while to open on the Routes 11-15 strip in Shamokin Dam. Also set to open soon is a Bloomin’ Bagels location at Colonial Village Plaza. Bloomin’ Bagels, which has its main store in Bloomsburg, is expected to open around March 1, according to Ed Hovenstine, borough manager for Shamokin Dam. Construction also has begun for a Royal Farms convenience store and gas station at the site of the former Phillips Motel. Royal Farms is expected to open in summer 2026.
