If you’re ready to feel better, eat better, and add some excitement to your weekly routine, Steps to a Healthy You is the perfect way to kick off 2026. This four-session class series brings the vibrant flavors and proven health benefits of the Mediterranean-style eating pattern right to your plate, no passport required.
Join Purdue Extension and Registered Dietitian Monica Nagele at the Crawfordsville District Public Library, Room B, on Jan. 15, 22, 29 and Feb. 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Your $30 registration includes lunch each week, plus hands-on food demonstrations and cooking instruction that make learning both fun and delicious.
Each session explores one or two of the “7 Simple Steps to Eating the Med Way,” along with a mindfulness skill you can put into practice immediately. You’ll discover how healthy fats, whole grains, herbs, spices, colorful produce, and lean proteins come together to create meals that are as satisfying as they are good for you. You’ll taste the Med Way in action and leave inspired to recreate it at home.
By the end of the series, you’ll not only understand the science behind the Mediterranean-style of eating; you’ll feel confident navigating grocery aisles, planning flavorful meals, reading labels with ease, and making mindful choices that fit your lifestyle. Many participants find themselves naturally eating more fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, and whole grains while cutting back on added sugars and processed foods without feeling deprived.
If you’re looking for a fresh start, a healthier routine, or simply a reason to enjoy good food in good company, Steps to a Healthy You offers all that and more.
