Developers looking to advance projects in Pasco will be able to start that process from the comfort of their home or office going forward.
The city recently launched its online Permit Portal for developers to apply for a new civil permit that can be used to conduct subdivision and right of way improvements, extend water and sewer service, and apply for new commercial construction, according to a release.
“The city’s goal is to make permitting more convenient, efficient and transparent across departments,” the city said in a statement.
Along with making the civil permit process fully digital and available 24 hours a day, the portal will allow applicants to track their permit application’s progress and upload any required documents. Go to: egov-pasco.com/eTRAKit3.
Online payments for permits via credit card and e-check are expected to be available by the end of January. All permit and right of way applications will be available online as early as mid-2026.
Earlier this year, Pasco eliminated the need for building permits for a variety of small residential projects, such as installing fences shorter than 7 feet tall and replacing roofing or siding on a home.
It’s a move that city officials said was driven by improving customer service and removing barriers and costs for city residents to improve their homes.
