Mobility platform Freenow by Lyft has introduced an updated cashback programme that allows business travellers to earn 5 per cent cashback on every trip.
Until 31 December 2025, travellers who complete a business ride using their business profile will receive 5 per cent cashback on each fare – up from the previous rate of 2 per cent – that can be used for their next private trip.
The cashback is credited once a business trip is complete, according to the company, and can be viewed under ‘vouchers & credits’ in the Freenow app. Credits accrued from business trips can only be redeemed for personal trips and cannot be used for future business trips.
Daniel Barthuly, head of business travel at Freenow by Lyft, said: “We designed our cashback programme to be the ultimate win-win. Employees get a tangible, personal reward for a ride they’re already taking for work and employers increase compliance with their travel programme.”
Germany-based Freenow was acquired by US ride-hailing specialist Lyft in April in a deal worth €175 million.
