AJ Brown misses practice with injury in major scare for Philadelphia Eagles ahead of New York Giants showdown

The Philadelphia Eagles were given an injury scare on Wednesday when star receiver AJ Brown missed practice with a hamstring problem.

Brown endured a frustrating start to the 2025 season before exploding into life as the Super Bowl champions beat the Vikings on Sunday.

The receiver amassed two touchdowns and 121 yards – both season highs – in Minnesota. But he was one of five Eagles players to miss practice on Wednesday.

Nick Sirianni’s team takes on the New York Giants on Sunday – just two weeks after Jaxson Dart and Co handed them a brutal 34-17 loss.

The Eagles ended a two-game losing streak with their 28-22 win over the Vikings, with Brown combining with quarterback Jalen Hurts for two touchdowns.

But the receiver then turned heads with a cryptic social media post in the aftermath of his game-winning performance.

‘Using me but not using me,’ Brown wrote on Instagram, alongside a picture of him celebrating on the field.

It is not the first time this season that Brown has hit the headlines over comments on social media.

In last month’s victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the receiver finished with just two catches for 7 yards.

Brown refused to speak to the media and then posted a Bible quote on X. It read: ‘If you’re not welcomed, not listened to, quietly withdraw. Don’t make a scene. Shrug your shoulders and be on your way.’

The receiver later admitted to letting his ‘frustrations boil over’ but insisted the post was not directed at Hurts or any of his teammates.

On Wednesday, none of Adoree Jackson (concussion), Cam Jurgens (knee), Azeez Ojulari (hamstring) or Jeremiah Trotter Jr (ankle) took part in practice either.

Tight end Dallas Goedert, meanwhile, was one of five players to be limited in practice. He is battling a calf problem ahead of Sunday’s clash with the Giants.
