JAKARTA – The smell of a relaxing natural ingredient mixes with a touch from herbal plants, filling fresh air in the FlavorBliss area, Alam Sutera. In the midst of the hustle and bustle of The Teasperience 2025, a soft green booth is the center of attention.
Behind the booth, two students from BINUS Business School, Alam Sutera Campus, introduced their work in the form of healthy lifestyle innovations inspired by the natural habits of Japanese society.
Shane Axel of Business Creation and Dillen Christopher from the management department is the figure behind this idea. For both of them, the concept is not just a trend, but a tangible manifestation of the importance of health and body balance.
It all started with a simple question, namely how to bring the benefits of traditional Japanese natural ingredients to local communities without losing the value of their health?
From that idea, Axel and Dillen began designing the concept of health-based activities while implementing the theory they studied on campus.
Learning theory in class is important, but going down directly in the field makes us know the reality. How does it feel to manage operations, make menus, and face direct customers,” said Dillen, from his official statement.
With great curiosity, they submitted this idea to lecturers to get input, then tried various activities that focused on a healthy lifestyle and balance of the body.
“Our products focus on matchmaking. But not only ordinary meetings, we also make other creations so that people don’t get bored,” said Axel.
Now their focus is not only on taste, but on the value of health contained in these natural ingredients. The content of antioxidants, the benefits for metabolism, and the calming effects of these materials are the main attraction. They also provide education about good consumption methods so that the benefits are more optimal.
In addition to introducing healthy drinks, they present several menu variants that support a balanced lifestyle, such as low sugar drinks, plant-based, to options with additional fresh fruits to increase vitamin intake.
However, their main appeal does not stop at the taste. The appearance of a calming booth and aesthetic presentation made it attractive without losing focus on health values. Even so, quality remains the main thing.
“We don’t use local powder, but directly import it from Japan. Precisely from Kagoshima,” explained Axel.
This quality material is the main difference compared to other similar products. In the future, they plan to develop various healthy treatments based on natural ingredients, while strengthening their image as health activists who remain affordable for the wider community.
Although still new, their move has shown positive results. One of the proud achievements is the opportunity to open up a health education room in the Orange Groves area, Pantai Indah Kapuk 2, faster than the original plan.
“Initially we wanted to open at the end of the year or next year. But coincidentally there was an offer, so we could open it faster,” said Axel.
Their activity in participating in various health-themed activities opens many collaboration opportunities. One of them is with Padelwings in BSD, where they provide healthy drinks for the sports tournament participants.
Not only that, they also held a workshop with local influencer Alea Malika at the Sunday Space Market in August 2025. This teaches how to enjoy natural ingredients properly to maintain a balance of the body.
For Axel and Dillen, this journey is not just a matter of selling products. More than that, this is a learning platform for the younger generation who are aware of the importance of physical and mental health. It regulates lifestyles, builds good habits, and continues to learn from every experience they have.
