THE UK’s booming online tee time market has been boosted with the introduction of a brand new, low-cost platform.
UK Golf Courses blends proven technology with industry expertise to deliver increased revenues for golf facilities. It is powered by Online Teetimes who, together with its carefully-selected technology partners, have managed more than 2.3 million bookings over the last 10 years.
The innovative business has launched the website www.UKGolfCourses.co.uk and is already selling tee times for golf clubs with some of the lowest commission rates in the industry.
UK Golf Courses combine web, mobile app and social media solutions to make it easier than ever for golf clubs, courses, driving ranges and sim-golf centres to connect with new and existing customers.
During 2025/26 UK Golf Courses will also quickly expand its offerings to golfers – to include booking lessons with PGA Professionals and corporate and society days, as well as golf club memberships.
Paul Heeney of Online Teetimes said: “When we started to offer online tee booking in the early 2000s it was very much an emerging convenience for the tech-savvy golfer – but it’s now the way millions of players book their golf. Having previously built teetimes.co.uk we have been one of the leading channels for tee time sales for golf clubs in the UK before. When we emerged from the impact of the Covid pandemic, developments and investments in technology have enabled us to build a much better platform.
“This is less expensive to maintain, which means we can offer lower commission rates to clubs. Also, we can collect payments from golfers at the time of booking, then pay it directly to clubs through Stripe Connect on a predetermined payout schedule. Additionally, we are able to give clubs a lead generation platform for membership, and playing packages enquiries, which are both free services.”
The current main objectives for UK Golf Courses are to build a directory of bookable clubs with no payment to join; then build out its marketing channels to as broad a golfer audience as possible.

Added Paul: “With UK Golf Courses, we have everything in place for golf facilities to maximise their digital offering and increase visitor tee time sales, membership sales, or group playing packages. And we do that without charging massive commission rates.
“It’s an exciting time for the company. We obviously are now looking over the next few months to build our course inventory back up to pre-pandemic levels and to be ready for the 2026 golf season. All our team has worked in the golf industry for many years and so we very much understand the nuances of the business and the different emphasis individual clubs place on their revenue goals.
“Some clubs want to maintain price points for green fees to supplement memberships without upsetting members. Others clubs are looking for as many green fee golfers as possible, with a number of different deals. We are able to work with all scenarios.”
