Family, friends and business colleagues congratulate Mansour Group for outstanding service for half a century
Sudbury’s Mansour Group Inc. recently celebrated its 50th anniversary with staff, clients, and partners taking part in an invitational golf tournament and dinner event at the Idylwylde Golf & Country Club.
The celebration honoured Milad Sr. Mansour, who arrived in Canada from Lebanon in 1971. Starting out sharpening drill bits for Sudbury’s mining industry, he later acquired P&W Supply and Repair in 1975 — laying the foundation for Mansour Group’s growth. His vision, work ethic, and focus on client service continue to guide the company’s success, said a company news release.
The celebration day featured the 50th Anniversary Golf Invitational, followed by an evening reception that welcomed more than 200 guests. Highlights included a live DeeJay, raffle prizes with limited-edition branded swag, golf awards, and food and drinks shared among industry peers and friends, said the release.
“This milestone is about more than 50 years in business—it’s about the people and partnerships who made it possible,” said Shayne Smith, Chief Operation Officer of Mansour Group Inc.
Founded in 1975, Mansour Group Inc. has grown into a leader across mining, industrial, and logistics sectors. Today, the company operates through four main divisions: Mansour US Rail, Mansour Canadian Rail, Mansour Logistics, and Mansour Chemicals & Commodities, said the release.
