National law firm acquires respected Kennewick law office

A Kennewick law office known for its expertise in estate planning and reputation for community service has been acquired by a multistate firm that started in the Tri-Cities.

Gravis Law recently announced attorney Albert “Coke” Roth and his staff at Coke Roth Law were joining the Richland-based firm that has 22 locations across the country, according to a release. Roth and his staff will continue to serve clients while also expanding mentorship opportunities for younger attorneys.

“My career has been devoted to serving families, businesses and this community,” Roth said in a statement. “Joining Gravis ensures continuity for my clients while creating a platform for mentorship and growth that will carry on beyond my next many years of practice. Together, we can honor the trust built over decades and carry that legacy forward.”

A graduate of the University of Puget Sound School of Law – now Seattle University School of Law – Roth began practicing in 1993 after a first career operating his family’s beverage distributorship.

His practice has focused on estate planning, probate and estate administration, business organization and governance, and real estate transactions. Gravis described Roth as “one of the foremost voices in estate planning in the Tri-Cities.” Roth said his staff have been central to his success, with their efforts enabling him to focus on clients.

Additionally, Roth has provided pro bono support to nonprofits and made house calls for seniors and individuals with disabilities.

His numerous awards include the Governor’s Award for Volunteerism, Kennewick Man of the Year and Tri-Citian of the Year as well as honors from organizations including the Mid-Columbia Leadership Development Association, the Academy of Children’s Theater, Junior Achievement and Grace Collective.

“Coke Roth’s reputation, character, and decades of service are a tremendous benefit for our firm and the Tri-Cities community,” said Brett Spooner, Gravis’ founder and CEO, in a statement. “This partnership deepens our regional commitment, ensures continuity for his clients, and brings invaluable mentorship for the next generation of attorneys.”

Gravis, founded in 2013, has 130 employees across the country.
