Virgin Atlantic has announced an AI assistant in order to assist passengers with travel planning.
The web application, dubbed a ‘digital Concierge’ by the airline, is powered by OpenAI using multi-modal artificial intelligence and built in partnership with software developer Tomoro. It listens, understands, and offers recommendations in real time, offering a seamless way to plan, book, and dream about future travels through natural conversation. Users can choose to tap, type or talk to it as they wish. Apart from trip planning, the Concierge supports Flying Club queries and general customer assistance.

Currently available as a web app, the airline plant to integrate it into a new mobile app in 2026.
