Middleton’s ‘Small Business Saturday 2.0’ sees uptick in customers | News

MIDDLETON, Wis. (WKOW) — “Small Business Saturday 2.0” went smoother in Middleton this time around. The original was heavily impacted by last weekend’s snowstorm.

One of the participating stores, “I’m Board,” had closed last week but was open Saturday. Staff there said it was busy throughout the day with people preparing for the holidays.

“With the holidays and the small business day coming up, it’s definitely starting to pick up. And maybe in the morning, it’d be kind of slow and pick up for lunch, whatever we’re at now, we’ve got people coming in at all times, which is nice to see,” said employee Colin Piontek.

Piontek said he was happy to see so many people supporting small businesses.

“It’s always nice when we can get people out into stores and supporting small businesses,” he said.
