Archipelago Yachts, the British boat builder of eco-conscious luxury catamarans, announced its participation at boot Düsseldorf 2026, taking place 17-25 January in Düsseldorf, Germany. The company will be exhibiting at stand 7AE02, where visitors will be among the first to discover a new chapter in sustainable yachting.

Founded by Dr Stephen Weatherley, a life-long sailor and boat enthusiast, Archipelago has built its reputation on striking the perfect balance between high-performance expedition yachting and environmental responsibility.
“We’re entering a milestone year for Archipelago, and we are thrilled to be exhibiting at boot Düsseldorf 2026,” said Dr Weatherley. “This show represents the premier global platform for marine innovation, and we can’t think of a more fitting venue to share what we’ve been working on. Visitors to our stand will see firsthand how we’re pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in sustainable yacht design.”
While full details will be revealed at the show, Archipelago confirms that its upcoming announcement will centre on a next-generation vessel designed to push boundaries in sustainability, performance, and on-water experience. The company’s team will be on hand throughout the show to meet with media, partners, and prospective owners.
The boot Düsseldorf announcement follows Archipelago’s recent success in securing Innovate UK funding through the UK Government’s Clean Maritime Demonstration Competition (Round 6). The company, in collaboration with Chartwell Marine and a consortium of British marine innovators, was awarded funding for the “Methanol Pathfinder UK” project. This is a seven-month initiative to develop and prototype an advanced methanol range-extension and propulsion system for electric vessels.
The project is aimed at accelerating zero-emission maritime transport by converting methanol into low-pressure hydrogen to produce onboard power. This provides a practical and safe alternative to traditional marine fuels while enabling extended range for electric vessels with the potential to eliminate combustion engines entirely.
The work builds on Archipelago’s established leadership in sustainable propulsion systems and reinforces the company’s commitment to bringing real-world, commercially viable clean energy solutions to the water.
