The Dallas Cowboys are mourning the shock death of defensive end Marshawn Kneeland at the age of just 24.

Kneeland’s death was revealed in a statement by the team on Thursday morning, with tributes soon pouring in afterwards.

The Dallas Cowboys star’s sudden passing came just two days after he suited up for the Cowboys in their Monday Night Football matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.

In a tragic 911 audio recording obtained by TMZ, Kneeland’s girlfriend told police that he would ‘end it all’ shortly after cops had performed a wellness check at his residence the night of his death.

‘We’re talking to the girlfriend, she’s trying to call the agent, so we’re trying to get her to call him first but she’s saying he is armed and has a history of mental illness,’ cops said on the recording.

Kneeland was drafted by Dallas in the second round of the 2024 NFL Draft, just two months after his mother’s Wendy’s passing.
