JAKARTA – The trend of padel sports is now increasingly loved by urban groups, not only as fitness activities, but also a form of a dynamic social lifestyle.
Combining tennis and squash elements in a glass-walled arena, the padel quickly develops into a new sports choice for young people who are active and like to collaborate.
Realizing this potential, various parties have begun to provide padel facilities to fulfill public interest. Including Peruri through its subsidiary, PT Peruri Properti (Pepro), which officially presents a new public space to support a healthy lifestyle.
The public space facilities are in the form of a padel sports facility called Padel At Alley and are located in the Peruri City area, Blok M, South Jakarta. This space is present as a modern public space with open, adaptive concepts, and is in line with a healthy lifestyle that is developing in urban areas.
“We want to present a space that not only supports sports, but also strengthens creativity and collaboration between users,” said Peruri President Director, Dwina Septiani Wijaya.
He explained that the Padel At Alley is expected to be a forum for the community and communities to interact, express themselves, as well as physical activities. The Grand Launching event which was held in conjunction with the Netground Vol. 4, a padel competition involving a number of urban communities, is proof that this facility is ready to become a meeting point for an active and social lifestyle.
Dwina assessed that the integration between the opening of facilities and community activities is a tangible manifestation of a multifunctional public space.
Furthermore, Padel At Alley is part of the development of the Peruri City public space ecosystem which includes M Bloc Space, KALA in Kalijaga, The Trunojoyo, and Peruri City Park.
Dwina conveyed that the collaboration with PT Infipop Publication Optima (Infipop) in managing this facility is a real example of how public spaces can be designed flexibly according to the needs of young people.
At the launch, a number of padel communities such as Serve on Monday, the Escape Union, Minutes of Manager, The Studio by Atness, and Muda-Young ID participated. In the future, Dwina hopes that Padel At Alley will not only be a place of sport, but also a creative and collaborative space that strengthens the community ecosystem in South Jakarta.
“Hopefully, this facility will become a center of activity that is connected, sustainable, and can have a positive impact on urban life,” concluded Dwina.
