Star NFL quarterback Daniel Jones sparks fans’ concern after trying to play through bloody facial injury

Daniel Jones was seen with blood pouring from his mouth after suffering a gruesome injury while playing for the Colts on Sunday.

Indianapolis was involved in a brutal overtime game in Germany on Sunday morning, eventually overcoming the Falcons, but the players had to leave everything on the field.

That was certainly the case for quarterback Jones, with the TV cameras showing a close-up of him grimacing with his mouth full of blood.

It is unclear exactly what sparked the bloody injury, but the former New York Giants star proved his mettle by staying in the game and not missing a play.

When Jones then took part in a post-game press conference, there was no visible damage to his face.

Jones, who left the New York Giants last season after a horrible spell in the Big Apple, continued his remarkable turnaround in Indianapolis with another victory.

He finished 19 of 26 for 255 yards with a touchdown and interception. He was sacked seven times, fumbled three times and lost one of them in a bruising game.

But the Colts really have running back Jonathan Taylor to thank for the victory.

He completed a remarkable 244-yard rushing day with an eight-yard touchdown run in overtime to give the Colts a 31-25 victory.

It was Taylor’s third touchdown of the day and came after Colts kicker Michael Badgley tied the game with a 44-yard field goal with 25 seconds left.

It was Taylor’s third career 200-yard rushing day. His single-game career high is 253 yards from the 2020 season.
