Philadelphia Eagles fans made their feelings clear on Friday, repeatedly booing their own team throughout the first half of their game against the Chicago Bears.
The atmosphere at Lincoln Financial Field turned hostile early in the game when former Eagles running back D’Andre Swift punched in a touchdown from close range to give the Bears a 7-0 lead.
Jalen Hurts and the unit managed to put just three points on the board via a Jake Elliott field goal early in the second quarter but failed to find the end zone as the atmosphere grew more toxic.
Frustration peaked when Bears kicker Cairo Santos extended the visitors’ lead to 10-3 with six minutes remaining in the half.
Despite an 8-3 record, patience is thin in Philadelphia, with the fan base still reacting to last week’s loss against division rivals, the Dallas Cowboys.
The hostility wasn’t limited to the stadium, with fans taking to X to vent their frustration at a team they feel is underperforming.

Supporters were caught on Amazon Prime’s broadcast cameras booing the team at the half
‘Eagles should get relentlessly booed by the crowd for this effort,’ one fan wrote. ‘The offense is once again lost and has no clue how to attack a defense… Completely embarrassing performance coming off last week.’
One user noted the toxicity of the atmosphere immediately, posting: ‘The Eagles are 8-3 and their offense is being boo’d by fans with 7 minutes left in the first quarter.’
‘Eagles offense gets booed as it walks off the field following a failed 3rd down conversion,’ another user posted, capturing the mood as yet another drive stalled.
However, the mood shifted slightly in the third quarter as the offense finally showed signs of life as Hurts connected with AJ Brown for a crucial touchdown to haul the Eagles back into the contest.
But in a twist that perfectly summarized the team’s recent struggles, kicker Jake Elliott missed the extra point, leaving Philadelphia trailing 10-9.
The toxic atmosphere inside the stadium stood in stark contrast to the scenes outside just hours earlier, where franchise legend Jason Kelce led the festivities.
The retired NFL star returned to his old stomping ground, Lincoln Financial Field, to hype up fans ahead of kickoff.

Former Eagles running back D’Andre Swift gave the Bears the lead on Friday night
Jason and New Heights, the podcast he shares with his brother Travis Kelce, hosted a special Black Friday tailgate in the parking lot of the Linc from 11am ET, including free entry on a first-come, first-served basis.
The event included food, merch giveaways, a photo booth, a DJ and games. Yet it was one challenge in particular that raised eyebrows.
The party featured a belly bucking competition, which involves two opponents using only their bellies to push each other off a circular platform, similar to sumo wrestling.
And Jason wasn’t a mere spectator as the former NFL center also got in on the action.
The 38-year-old stripped off his shirt, donned an Eagles football helmet and faced off against one of the competitors.
In a clip shared to New Heights’ X account, Jason was captured ramming his opponent out of the circle with his stomach, claiming victory.
