INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) — Mary Ann Wietbrock, a Clinical Nurse Specialist, is certified and specializing in fitness and nutrition, showcased healthy cooking techniques on WISH TV during National Diabetes Awareness Month.

Wietbrock, a member of the Holistic Nurses Association and the National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists, demonstrated how food and motion can help control blood sugar levels.

“We need to stabilize those blood sugars,” Wietbrock said, who has written a book titled ‘Unraveling Weight Loss.’

Since 2014, Cardinal Elements has offered weight loss and wellness programs based on research, focusing on real-life applications of research studies.

During the segment, Wietbrock prepared roasted vegetables, emphasizing their role in providing energy, improving gut health, and stabilizing blood sugars.
