Due to a change in property ownership, an extension of the platting requirements tied to a zone change near 95th Street South and Rock Road was brought before the Planning Commission at its Nov. 6 meeting.
The original owner transferred the property in question to one of their financing partners, who is now looking to sell to a third party. Considering that, an extension was requested and granted by the commission to submit a final plat by Oct. 22, 2026.
As the item was reviewed, staff also noted there was an error with the annexation of the property prior to the zone change request. A section along the eastern boundary was not included as intended, which staff noted would have to be corrected to allow the zone change and final platting to proceed.
