Dodgers star Miguel Rosas admits team was furious with Drake for trolling Shohei Ohtani during World Series

The Dodgers are world champions once again – but star Miguel Rosas has admitted that his team was angered by Drake‘s trolling of Shohei Ohtani during the World Series.

Following the Blue Jays’ Game 5 win in the series, the Canadian rapper took to Instagram to stir the pot, as he posted a photo of Ohtani whiffing on a pitch from Trey Yesavage.

‘Savage already [on the way] to the dugout boss lol,’ Drake captioned the Instagram story.

The Dodgers would go on to have the last laugh following an epic Game 7 win, but Rojas – who hit an iconic tying home run in the ninth inning of that game – hasn’t forgotten what Drake did.

‘We got this guy right here, we all know who he is, but you don’t have to do that, man,’ Rojas told TMZ. ‘Shohei Ohtani, he’s been doing everything and anything for baseball, and that’s kind of why Kiké [Hernandez] kind of had his moment there.’

‘We all saw it right away. We weren’t happy for it, but we have to finish the game,’ he continued.

As Rojas mentioned, Hernandez took aim at Drake during the team’s title celebration on Monday at Dodger Stadium.

At the beginning of his speech, Hernandez said: ‘What’s up Dodger Nation? It’s October’s Very Own,’ referencing Drake’s longtime record label, clothing brand and catchphrase.

He later praised the Dodgers as a ‘really big team that has a lot of really big rings’ – an overt nod to the lyrics of Drake and Future’s 2015 song ‘Big Rings.’

Ohtani went  0-4 at the plate in Game 5 as he was later mocked by Drake.

However, he bounced back over the next two games, going a combined 3-for-8 with two walks (he did, however, struggle on the mound on Game 7 as he lasted just 2.1 innings).

With the Dodgers trailing 4-3 and just two outs remaining in Game 7, Rojas smashed a home run to left field to tie up the game and place himself in Dodgers lore.

‘The homer, I get really excited and happy and proud,’ he told TMZ.

A half inning later, he got Isiah Kiner-Falefa out at home with the bases loaded and the game on the line.

‘With the play at the plate, I get anxiety because it was so close,’ he said. ‘I kind of lost my step a little bit, I didn’t have control of my body, and then kind of creates that anxiety inside of me.’

Ultimately the Dodgers, escaped that inning and held firm in extra innings as Will Smith hit the go-ahead home run in the 11th inning.
