As Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline fast approaches, the Cleveland Browns are reportedly telling rival teams they have no plans to trade star man Myles Garrett.
The defensive end, 29, has been one of the most talked-about potential trades over the next few days, with the 2-6 Browns eyeing a rebuild.
Cleveland’s front office would be able to secure substantial trade capital if they were to deal Garrett, but NFL insider Diana Russini has revealed they have no plans to do so.
Quoting a text from a ‘high-ranking source’, it was claimed: ‘He’s a Brown and will remain a Brown’.
It is also being reported that multiple teams have made calls to Cleveland to inquire about the former Defensive Player of the Year’s availability, only to be rebuffed.
So far this season, Garrett has an NFL-leading 10 sacks and 15 tackles for loss – performing at an incredibly high level after sealing his new contract.

The 29-year-old pass rusher was previously in a contract dispute with the team, but eventually put pen to paper on a new four-year, $160m deal.
That pushed down reports of a potential trade, but after some well-publicized sideline frustration against the Patriots, people once again began to talk up a move away.
It is expected that any trade for Garrett would cost a team two first-round picks, something rivals are unlikely to cough up unless they believe he could be the piece to secure them a Super Bowl ring.
The Browns have endured a difficult start to the season, and now have Dillon Gabriel at quarterback after trading away Joe Flacco.
Shedeur Sanders is now the back-up to his fellow rookie, while the injured – and ever controversial – Deshaun Watson – is still on the payroll.
