Do travel managers feel well rewarded and recognised? Is the gender pay gap narrowing? Are travel manager salaries rising? All these questions and more will be answered in BTN Europe’s Travel Manager Salary & Job Satisfaction survey 2025, the results of which will be published in December.
BTN Europe’s third annual survey, supported by Europe’s leading travel manager associations, will paint a picture of current sentiment among travel buyers and enable you to benchmark against your peers as you enter salary negotiations – so help us help you by completing the confidential salary and job satisfaction survey below. It should take no more than five minutes.
Last year’s survey, published in December 2024, determined that the average travel manager salary across Europe was €76,124, an increase of 3.05 per cent on the findings of our inaugural survey in 2023. The UK and Germany once again posted the highest average salaries but with only marginal growth.
The second edition of the survey also revealed that 33 per cent of European travel managers do not feel they get the recognition they deserve within their company (up 4 per cent year-on-year), while half (50 per cent) believe their salary is low for their responsibilities.
In order to deliver another comprehensive report, we need the participation of travel managers from across Europe to complete the survey. So, travel managers, don’t delay, please complete the survey today. All survey responses are confidential and will be reported only in aggregate, and you are not required to enter your name or contact details.
Survey participants may choose to be entered in a prize draw for the chance to win one of four €/£/$25 Amazon gift cards as a thanks from Business Travel News for taking part. If you do choose to leave your contact details, please be assured that none of the details you submit nor your individual survey responses will be identified in reporting.
The findings and analysis will be published by BTN Europe in December. Important: to ensure the validity of the data and reporting, only travel managers should complete this survey. If you have any questions about the survey, please email BTN Europe editor-in-chief Andy Hoskins.
