Nikki Glaser leaves NFL fans divided over bizarre postgame roast segment on Amazon Prime following Jets’ win over Patriots

Amazon Prime Video debuted a new segment with Nikki Glaser after Thursday Night Football, and it divided opinion among NFL fans.

Following the Jets’ 24-3 win over the Patriots, Prime Video’s postgame show invited comedian Glaser – who had a notable set at the roast of Tom Brady– to debut her ‘Late Hits’ segment, where she roasted the two teams and the Amazon crew.

Glaser started things off by telling host Charissa Thompson that she looked like ‘the final boss at a country club,’ before poking fun at the likes of Aaron Rodgers and Jets linebacker C.J. Mosley.

And the somewhat out of place segment drew mixed reviews on X.

‘This Nikki Glaser segment is so awkward. What is Amazon doing?’,’ one fan said.

‘Nikki Glaser bombing like crazy right now [laughing crying emojis] this ain’t her stage,’ another added

A third said, ‘Somehow the Nikki Glaser postgame is even worse than the actual game.’

However, others thought she did an impressive job in a difficult spot.

‘What @NikkiGlaserjust did is so damn hard,’ NBC Sports fantasy football analyst Matthew Berry said. ‘Telling jokes with no audience while Jets fans scream in the back ground and she still absolutely killed. That was hilarious.’

Another person said, ‘Damn the prime hosts are giving Nikki Glaser NOTHING. She deserved so much better. This is so hard to watch. These jokes are actually pretty good but its so hard to laugh past my secondhand embarrassment of her getting zero co-host laughs besides Richard Sherman’s heavy breathing.’

And a different fan chimed in, ‘I thought she nailed it. Something new. Something different. Give me more of it!’

Glaser roasted a wide range of personalities in her roughly five-minute set.

Notably, she called Aaron Rodgers ‘Throw Rogan’ in a reference to podcast host Joe Rogan, and the quarterback’s polarizing views.

She also claimed that a seemingly awkward moment between Rodgers and coach Robert Saleh in the first half was caused by the latter ‘remind[ing] him that RFK Jr. dropped out of the [presidential] race.’

Glaser also took a shot at linebacker C.J. Mosley, who missed the game with a toe injury – which she condescendingly called a ‘grade one ow-wee.’

She also referenced the Patriots’ new coach Jerod Mayo, saying that it must be ‘tough’ for former longtime coach Bill Belichick ‘watching his ex rebound with a hot black guy.’

After taking aim at Thompson, she moved onto her Amazon colleagues, saying Richard Sherman looks like ‘Busta Rhymes on Ozempic’ and calling Andrew Whitworth ‘Men’s Warehouse Shrek.’

She also said that Tony Gonzalez ‘looks like a genie you can only summon by rubbing the crotch of a sensible Talbots pantsuit.’

Additionally, she called bearded ex-quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick ‘Sacked Galifianakis in a reference to actor Zach Galifianakis – a quip which he didn’t seem to appreciate.

Later, she called the matchup between New England and New York a ‘battle of cities where you can get stabbed at a parade.’

Whether or not you liked Glaser’s set, it won’t be the last you see of her on Thursday Night Football, as she announced she’d be appearing on the program four more times.
