The global town hall, as it’s called, has always been a pitiful earner. And Musk, its biggest star, has paid top dollar for it, and then some. If he can remake Twitter into a platform whose prosperity matches its power, or into a thriving and respected public service, haters will find it difficult to dispute the man’s product savvy and vision.
